Opera gets a Native Lastpass Extension!

LastPass, the nest password manager that I’ve even setup on my mum’s computer works as well as it should because of its native browser extensions. Opera, the cross-platform browser that I’ve loved for 15 years, is faster than ever before. With the release of Opera 11, currently in beta stage, they have released an extension framework thats fast becoming one of its most potent features. I’ve kept a close look on the fast-growing extension gallery, and one of the extensions I was yearning for was the LastPass native extension as the bookmarklet method simply didn’t work for me. And its finally here!

You’ll need the latest beta for the extension to run (I had to upgrade). But its worth the magic. There’s tons of other features you’ll appreciate. Trust me.

If you’re on Windows, I’ve already mentioned why you should be using portable apps, and I’ve written about some dedicated  individuals have created a portable version of Opera. However, you don’t need a custom installer for getting it to run in portable mode. Just choose “external device” in the “Install Path” field to install it in Portable Mode. Please let me know in the comments if the installer goes portable in Mac as well.
